2022 Entrance fees to Kibale forest national park; Kibale forest national park also known as the primate capital is one of the most visited destinations in Uganda located in western region in Kamwenge and Kabarole district. Kibale forest national park is a home of 13 primate species including chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, grey checked mangabey, red tailed monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, olive baboons and over 370 bird species.
Park entrance fees are charges set by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) to all visitors and vehicles in order to access Kibale forest national park and engage in different safari activities. Entrance fees in Kibale forest national park are independent of package activities such as chimpanzee trekking, birdwatching and all visitors will be required to present valid identification documents to confirm resident’s status. A day’s entrance ticket is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance and extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day. Children are persons aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Foreign non residents are charged 40 USD per person, 30 USD per person for foreign residents and 20,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.
Children
Foreign non residents are charged 20 USD per person, 10 USD per person for foreign residents and 5,000 UGX per person for East African citizens.
Ugandan pupils or students in groups are charged 3,000 UGX per person
Tertiary institutions/ universities are charged 5,000 UGX per person
Uganda wildlife clubs are charged 2,000 UGX per person
Annual park entrance passes
Annual park entrance passes apply to all protected areas for foreign residents in Uganda and east African citizens only and vehicle entrance is paid separately. Foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify for an annual pass and it’s not valid for package activities like chimpanzee trekking.

Foreign residents are charged 350 USD and 150,000 UGX for East African citizens
Couple
Foreign resident couple are charged 500 USD and 200,000 UGX for East African citizens
Family with a maximum of 4 children

Foreign residents are charged 1,500 USD and 2,500,000 UGX for East African citizens
Safari guides and taxi drivers are charged 100,000 UGX per person.

Minibuses, omni-buses for foreign non residents is charged 50 USD per entry, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Pick-up for foreign non residents is charged 50 USD per entry, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Tour company vehicles and 4 wheel drive for foreign non residents is charged 150 USD per entry, 15 USD for foreign residents and 30,000 UGX for East African citizens.
Over landers for foreign non residents is charged 150 USD per entry, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens.
