3 Days flying Chimpanzee habituation safari : This 3 days flying chimpanzee habituation safari is a luxury flying safari that will take you to Kibale forest national park also known as the primate capital located in western part of Uganda. Kibale forest national park is famously known for harbouring 13 primate species including over 1,500 chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, olive baboons, red tailed monkeys, l’hoest monkeys, blue monkeys, vervet monkeys among others. During the 3 days flying chimpanzee habituation safari, you will be able to engage in the chimpanzee habituation activity where you will be able to spend four hours with the chimpanzees and Bigodi swamp walk where you will be able to spot different bird species, primates, tree species among others.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Fly to Kibale forest national park
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe international airport on the first day of the 3 days flying chimpanzee habituation safari, you will connect for your domestic flight with Aerolink Uganda to Kasese airstrip. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kibale national park and upon arrival you will check into the lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for an interesting swamp walk in Bigodi swamp where you will be able to view different primates, bird species like the great blue turaco, animals among others. After the swamp walk, you will connect to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Chimpanzee habituation in Kibale forest national park
Chimpanzee habituation,
After an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days flying chimpanzee habituation safari, your driver guide will pick you up from the lodge to transfer to the Kanyachu park headquarters for a chimpanzee habituation briefing. After the briefing you will be allocated an experienced park guide and start trekking in the forest in search of chimpanzees which takes a whole day. During trekking you will be rewarded with views of other primates like l’hoest monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, grey cheeked mangabey, views of different bird species among others. Once the chimpanzees under habituation are located, you will be allowed to spend four hours with them in their environment which gives you an opportunity to learn and monitor their behaviours, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos, and record videos. After the encounter with the chimpanzees, you will trek back to the park headquarters where you will meet up with your driver guide and return to the lodge for an evening relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Fly to Entebbe international airport
On the last day of the 3 days flying chimpanzee habituation safari, you will enjoy a relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to Kasese airstrip for your domestic flight to Entebbe international airport.
