Child Restrictions from Chimpanzee Trekking
Child Restrictions from Chimpanzee Trekking are in place in the forest premises set by UWA and children below 15 years of age are not accepted for trekking. For many years, the safaris in Kibale national park have been crapped off the children’s itinerary list. This is because, the best and most known safaris were chimpanzee trekking and Chimpanzee habituation which are restricted activities for children by the managing body, Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA). The child restrictions from Chimpanzee trekking are rules by the Uganda wildlife authority and they stipulate that all children are not allowed to do chimpanzee trekking and children here are considered to below the age of 15years.
There is a genuine reason as to why the children restrictions from chimpanzee trekking are put in place in Kibale national park. Some of them include that the children can get tired easily during the trekking since you can never determine the time in which you can find a habituated chimpanzee community. The children are also very playful and cannot be obedient as the grownups. They can move off the trail very easy and perhaps get lost in the forest.
