Crater Safari Lodge Kibale National Park. Crater Safari Lodge, strategically located to overlook the second largest Crater Lake in Uganda. The Lodge is close to Kibale National Park, and is one of the most beautiful lodges that travellers can stay in while on a Uganda safari tour to Kibale National Park. The Lodge is an eco-lodge which offers travellers with an unsurpassed remote wilderness experience in the jungles of Kibale Forest National Park. Surrounded by 9 crater lakes and many tea and coffee plantations, Crater Safari Lodge is the right place for a relaxing stay and yet near the jungles of Kibale Forest National Park that travellers can explore the park with nature walks, hiking trails, chimpanzee tracking, bird watching and so much more that the park has to offer. 

The main area of Crater Safari Lodge has a restaurant, intimate bar area and lounge from where travellers staying here can get the various services. There are massive couches in the relaxation area with beautiful views of chalets, the lush lawns and the Crater lake. This is where a many evenings are spent.

At the boma area, travellers get to relax around a roaring fire and get to relax or share stories with fellow travellers. The swimming pool is a welcome facility during the hot dry season months from where guests chill away from the scotching sun.

Travellers have the choice of staying in any of the 11 deluxe wooden thatched chalets that have expansive wooden balconies, or any of the 10 pool facing or garden facing standard cabana rooms. 

Deluxe Wooden Thatched Chalets:

These are 11 in total, and have expansive wooden balconies. Partial or full views of the beautiful and tranquil Crater Lake or garden. The chalet’s timber balconies have either chairs or couches, with three of them having hammocks. All chalets have a lounge and relaxing area. Honeymoon and family chalets are also available. There are also swings dotted between chalets which offer guests with private places for relaxation, with a book or glass wine, or whatever else one might wish.

Standard Cabana Rooms:

There are 10 standard cabana rooms at Crater Safari Lodge. These standard cabana rooms are either pool facing or garden facing, with wonderful views of the lawns. The standard cabana rooms are on two levels, with self-contained units on the ground and first floor.

How to get to Crater Safari Lodge Kibale National Park

Crater Safari Lodge can be reached by road from Kampala to Fort Portal and then to the lodge, or by air which is the quickest way. The Lodge is 7km from Kibale National Park, and 22km from Fort Portal city. Though the road transfer to Crater Safari Lodge Kibale National park is long, it is very scenic and eye opening to travellers for they get to see the true countryside of Uganda.
