Sebitoli forest

Kihingani wetland

 Kihingani wetland is situated 15 kilometer from fort portal before sebitoli forest, this swamp generally offers guided nature walks, regardless to its small size the swamp of 13 square kilometers is a habitant to 230 colorful bird species thus being a perfect destination for bird watching while on a tour in kibale national park. While on a guided nature walk in the swamp you will easily spot birds like Jameson’s wattle-eye, white-spotted fluff tail and many more. How to get to kibale national park

For uninformed tourist most especially foreign tourist getting to kibale national might seem tricky well the park can be accessed by both road and air transport, using road transport the park is situated 309.4 kilometers a drive of approximately 5 hours from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. From Kampala various routes can be used to reach the park such as Kampala via fort portal-kibale forest route, Kampala-Mbarara-kibale forest route. Kibale national park can also be accessed from Queen Elizabeth national park using Kasese- Fort portal –kibale forest route or a route through kasese to kasenda craters to kibale national park.  By air domestic flights are offered from Entebbe international airport and kajjansi airstrip to kasese airstrip which an hour’s drive to kibale national park.
