Kyaninga Lodge

Kyaninga Lodge is the most luxurious accommodation facility located close to Kibale national park. Kyaninga lodge can be accessed in a 23 minutes’ drive from Fort Portal and 50 minutes’ drive to Kibale national park. The lodge was strategically constructed overlooking the Kyaninga Crater Lake, which is the deepest of all Crater Lakes in Uganda. The lodge has easy access to outstanding hiking trails with views of the Rift Valley and Mount Rwenzori rangers.

Kyaninga Lodge is uniquely built with timber and grass thatch with incredibly built standard cottages. The 9 existing cottages were built inform of log cabins which were constructed from more than a thousand hand-carved logs. The lodge has also planted indigenous trees as a way of conservation to preserve the adjoining eco-system. The lodge was designed using traditional Alpine with an African interior using glossy local wood and the steps were got from the volcanic rocks of the ancient times.

The nine Cottages are spaciously built with privacy and incredible views of the endless landscape and sights of Rwenzori Mountain also known as “Mountain of the Moon”. They are self-contained with modern bathrooms and toilets that suite the luxury kind of arrangement. Visitors experience the beauty and romance the lodge has to offer while staying in heights of luxury and elegance rooms in double and twin beds made of Egyptian cotton linen and down pillows. Other areas of interest that visitors will enjoy while at Kyaninga lodge are the meals offered. They have superb dining that will make your meals incredibly enjoyable. The Bar is also well set with all kinds of drinks. They also offer sauna services at their wellness center with a professional massage or reflexology treatment.

Kyaninga lodge provides its visitors with optional activities that they can enjoy while staying at the lodge. These activities are usually done after the main activity in Kibale forest that is chimpanzee trekking experience. Some of these activities include; crater lakes tours, nature walks & hiking.
